On a beautiful July morning, my wife and I were walking the grounds of Montgomery Place in Red Hook, NY.. After viewing the flowers and appreciating the timely architecture, my attention was caugtht by what used to be a common-place sight---a coin operated telephone. There it was. Hung on the wall and ready to go---at least that is what it looked like. I carefully picked up the receiver and expected to hear some sort of dial tone. Instead there was deadly silence. Disconnected--Out of Service.
So what were the last words spoken? Probably something as simple as "Good-bye."

Last words spoken
I have long been fascinated with looking at a home, business, farm, antique care and wondering what were the last words spoken when the last person to own the place left for the last time.
In my blog, I will try to capture with photography and words what might have been spoken.
This will hopefully be an attempt at artistic expression with a definite human perspective..
